    heartburn cause

Heartburn is a condition that can interfere in one’s daily life. If left untreated for a long time, it might lead to something serious. That is why, it is recommended to act on it early while the condition is not yet complicated. There are many cures for heartburn you can try, varying from practical measures to medicines, and natural remedies.

    1. Practice preventive measures

There are simple things you can do to prevent heartburn. Here are some good examples:

    - Don’t lie down after eating. Wait for two hours before you lie or go to bed.

    - Don’t wear anything tight around the waist.

    - Use an acid reflux pillow or wedge, or raise the head of your bed by six to eight inches.

    - Stay away from smoking. Nicotine is a main heartburn cause.

    - Maintain a reasonable weight. Too much pressure on the stomach weakens the lower esophagus

    muscle more.

    2. Take heartburn medicines

Heartburn medicines are widely available in drug stores. These include:

Antacids. These are one of the firsts to be recommended by health experts as heartburn remedies. They work by neutralizing the acids and inciting the body’s defenses to heartburn, by increasing the levels of bicarbonate and mucous in the body.

Histamine blockers. Histamine is a chemical which incites the production of acids in the stomach. These medicines, therefore, block the actions of histamine, which leads to fewer acid content. They are aimed at relieving heartburn cases which happen often. They can be bought without a doctor’s prescription. If you will take these medicines, you need to wait for thirty to ninety minutes before they could work on your heartburn; after that it will only last for six to twenty-four hours.

    3. Natural remedies

Apple cider vinegar aids in proper digestion, and has long been used as a natural heartburn remedy. Just add three or more tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to eight ounces of water and drink it three times a day.

Ginger is known to help relieve heartburn. Herbalists recommend taking 500mg of ginger after each meal to help relieve an upset stomach. You can either take ginger in tea or capsule form.

Chewing gum is a remedy which offers instant heartburn relief. It neutralizes the acids in the throat, by inciting the secretion of saliva. Other remedies with the same effect are honey and aloe juices.

Heartburn is a condition which should be taken seriously, because it might be a lifelong ordeal if you don’t act early. If you want the best natural treatment for heartburn, head over to my review of the book that helped thousands get rid of their condition naturally and permanently.
